This Privacy Policy explains how SpendKaro collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use the app and website.

SpendKaro is an expense tracking app for personal spending, home bills, group expenses, reports, budgets, balances, and settlements. Personal and home tracking can begin on your device without signup. Account, group, backup, notification, analytics, crash reporting, and advertising features may use third-party services described below.
Information we collect
SpendKaro collects the information needed to provide expense tracking, home bill tracking, group expense splitting, reports, account access, sync, notifications, app safety, and support. This may include your email address, display name, optional profile photo, authentication provider, expenses, incomes, budgets, categories, notes you enter, group names, group members, balances, settlements, notification preferences, device identifiers, app events, crash logs, and diagnostic data.
Local-first and optional sync
Personal and home records can be stored locally on your device without creating an account. If you sign in or use features that require cloud sync, such as groups, backup, or using another device, relevant records are stored with Firebase services so the app can sync them for your account and group members.
How we use information
We use information to operate the app, save and sync records, calculate balances and reports, authenticate accounts, send user-controlled notifications, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, diagnose crashes, improve reliability, and understand broad app usage patterns.
What other users can see
Personal and home records are not shown to other users. In a group, group members can see group information such as member names, profile details you choose to show, shared expenses, participants, amounts, balances, and settlement status.
Service providers
SpendKaro uses trusted service providers to run the app, including Google Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Remote Config, Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, and Google AdMob when ads are enabled. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies to provide authentication, storage, analytics, crash reporting, messaging, configuration, and advertising services.
Advertising and analytics
SpendKaro may use Firebase Analytics to measure app events and improve the product. If ads are enabled, Google AdMob may collect or use device and advertising identifiers to show and measure ads, subject to your device settings and Google's policies. We do not sell your personal expense records.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, SpendKaro may store notification preferences and use local notifications or Firebase Cloud Messaging to send reminders and group updates. You can disable notifications in the app or in your device settings.
Data export and deletion
You can export your data from the app. You can delete your account from Profile > Account > Delete account. Account deletion removes your account profile and synced records from our active systems, subject to reasonable processing time, legal requirements, security needs, and backup retention.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and improve reliability. Local records remain on your device until you delete them, clear app storage, or uninstall the app.
Children's privacy
SpendKaro is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.
International processing
Your information may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have data protection laws different from the laws in your location.
