Terms of Service

Simple terms for a simple money app.

SpendKaro is a record-keeping tool for personal, home, and group expenses. These terms explain what the app does, what it does not do, and what we both agree to.

Acceptance of terms

By downloading, accessing, or using SpendKaro you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What SpendKaro does

SpendKaro helps you record personal expenses, track home bills, and split shared costs with groups. It is a record-keeping and organisation tool only.

No real-money payments

Settlements in the app are tracked manually for your own reference. SpendKaro does not process, transfer, or hold money, and is not a payment provider or financial institution.

Not financial advice

Reports, balances, and summaries are provided for convenience. They are not financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice. You are responsible for verifying your own figures.

Your account

Personal and home tracking work without an account. Signing in (for groups, backup, and multi-device sync) means you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to disrupt the service, reverse engineer it, or use it for any unlawful purpose. Group members are responsible for the accuracy of the records they enter.

Your data

Your content remains yours. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. You can export your data or delete your account from within the app at any time.

Third-party services

SpendKaro uses Google Firebase for sync and crash reporting, and may show ads via Google AdMob. Your use of those features is also subject to the relevant Google terms.

Service availability

The app is offline-first, but cloud sync and other online features are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may update, change, or discontinue features over time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SpendKaro is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for disputes between group members arising from records or settlements tracked in the app.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. The latest version always lives on this page.
